my friend had a house she bought when she was 19. she put a 40k down payment on her house. and was married. both her and husband were on the mortgage. SHE paid the mortgage on time, everytime, every time until she was 26 (2008), she was late ONE payment. she was 2 weeks late and tried to pay her mortgage what was due in full and added fee’s.
they sent back her check and said they could only take check from husband because her name was off the mortgage due to their recent refinancing. and they would only talk on phone to him.
he joined the army 3-4 months prior so he was in active duty and couldnt call or write the check. they would keep her on hold for 3-4 hours a day transfering and hanging up on her constantly and never let her talk to anyone.
they lost the house and she moved to an army base.
she was bored afew weeks ago and started looking at her old mortgage papers, thinking about her past life, and her house she bought so young. she came across the mortgage papers stating her name was on it! she also had the proof how the bank kept sending back her checks.
her husband, called BOA and they had their lawyer call them within a few hours. they talked about a bunch of things. BOA’s attorney admitted to my friend and her husband, that they stole her house illegally, and that they would be reimbursed. her husband went to a meeting with the armys attorneys and talked to them. the BOA attorney told them they would give them a offer within a few days. the husband told the BOA attorney, that he talked to his lawyers and no “small offer”
it will be 4 days tomorrow.
what should they expect? does BOA really reimburse people from stealing their houses?

That isn’t a reimbursement… that is a “please don’t sue us”
They got caught and they know what would happen if they went to court.
