Hey, I was wondering if the cash shop in DC Universe Online was imbalanced? Like, does it ruin the game for you (mostly in PvP) if you don’t pay real money? Thank you! I would check for myself but the game has a huge download and it would take 15+ hours for me to download it and I don’t want to wait that long if I wont be able to enjoy the game if I don’t pay.

The armor that members can purchase in the market place doesnt have stats, just the look.
The best armor anyone can get. You just have to do Duos and Raids to earn them. Anyone can get the best gear, you just have to put the effort into it. There are certain items that only members can get because it costs more than $1.500 but its usually not the best, its just unique.
Btw to get the best armor, duos, Raids, and PvP sessions are what you have to do. You earn marks of legend or triumph when you complete them and you save that up to get the armor. The armor peices that cost cash usually are under 500 each. Like 300 for the shoulders, 200 for the belt, that kind of stuff. But almost everything that i have seen that exceeds $1,500 is just for looks.
As far as I can tell, members have a fairly substantial advantage over free players, but it’s not so bad that it’s gamebreaking.
Lack of inventory and looking at the same character model all the time might get annoying.
The game is fun with out having to pay for the items. However, it will definitely take much longer to obtain…
