Do You Have To Enter Your Paypal Code To Confirm Your Credit Card Before You Buy On Ebay?

By pay online Posted in: paypal

I keep going through the process of trying to confirm my payment on ebay from an item I bought but it says my card hasn’t been verified. And to get my paypal code I have to wait 2-3 days for my bank statement to look online. I don’t understand shouldn’t my credit card be good to go as soon as I type it in since its linked to my bank account or am I missing something?

You’re hunch is correct – the process you’re following is for linking to a bank account, takes a few days to do, makes your PayPal account “Verified”, and is meant for eBay sellers. As a buyer, you should be able to link to a credit card right away and start shopping. Did you say your PayPal linkage was to a debit card and bank account? Maybe that’s why.
Do you have a credit card you could use? That should work right off the bat.

Maybe it works like confirming a bank account where Paypal makes two tiny deposits and you have to enter those amounts into the box to confirm. Maybe Paypal makes two small charges on your credit card and you have to enter those where it tells you to confirm the amounts charged to your card.
