I live Money Orders! I still use them as my choice of a payment method when I’m paying bills or purchasing products! Either Western Union, Moneygram, or U.S. Postal Money Orders are fine with me!
Does anybody else use money orders?
Also, what other companies do money orders! Rite-Aid, Wal-Mart & 7-Eleven do! Plus local cash/checking joints!

I don’t use money orders. If they get lost then there is no getting your money back. Checks can be cancelled if lost or stolen and financial institutions will help you recover funds if credit cards are used. Money orders offer no kind of help if they are lost in the mail or stolen.
Places I know of in my area that sell money orders:
USPS
Western Union
MoneyGram
Money Tree
Publix
Giant Foods
Stop and Shop
The Check Cashing Place
Foodland
Walmart
Ace Cash Express
Thorntons
Express Cash
Wells Fargo
Vons
Ralphs
Rite Aid
CVS
Walgreens
it used to be that it cost you 15 cents per check that you wrote, and on top of that you bought your own checks. Figure it out and if that cost is less for you than the fees for money orders you’re paying right now on the USPS, Western Union, etc. then it would be good for you to get a checking account. Plus you’d be saving the driving around to get thise money orders.
Generally people who have poor credit (and can’t afford a checking account) or who have just been thru bankruptcy, or they have been refused a checking account because they overdrew and haven’t paid the bank, or think they are hiding what they spend their money on, or that they want an additional safety when sending money for purchases online, well then the money orders are good for them.
I use checks if I have to. but mainly I use a secured credit card in case something happens. the credit card covers my loses.
I have occasionally used money orders from the PO, but most of the time I use my personal checking account.
