Question #1: My gpa is a 3.5 right now. I am taking 5 classes next semester for me to get a 4.0+ what grade would be the minimum i would have to get? (by number grade)
Question #2: I was honor roll graduating hs getting a 3.0-3.4 but had no extra curriculars because I took high school online. How can I get some extracurriculars in college before i transfer because i go to Gwinnett Technical College there are not many sports options.
Question #3: Im really trying to make it to UGA by summer “12. Any suggestions to help raise my chances of getting accepted cause i only have one more semester before i apply..
Question #4: This one is not about admission but about dorms. Are dorms paid for with financial aid or with your own money? I get hope and some others but idk if it will cover a dorm and i really want to stay on campus.
Thank you for all your advice and help in advance

1) Try and raise it. My step sis went to a tough private school and got a 3.4. It was a letter from our state senator that got her in, not her grades. I had a 4.26 weighted and a 3.89 unweighted. So maybe a 3.6 or 3.7 unweighted. We went to two different schools (mine was public).
2) They will probably take this into account. You can’t do them if there aren’t any! Maybe go out for a community play or something.
3) I do hope you have already applied if you want to go next summer. Those applications are normally already submitted and a lot of people have already been notified (I was notified in December of the year I applied). I do not have any suggestions, however. Maybe get involved? Do some community service of some kind? I find that better than extracurriculars, since they like involved students.
4) Dorms are not covered by HOPE. It is about $7,000 if I remember correctly. The apartments off campus are cheaper, but I believe you have to live on campus freshman year. My step sis bought an apartment and sold it after graduating.
EVERY university has its “admissions requirements” clearly posted on their website.
(blows me away that supposedly smart kids with internet access can’t think to look)
Financial aid is intended to pay for tuition/books, with a little left over for incidental costs, not housing or food costs.
