I sold a laptop on ebay and am having problems understanding how I get paid. The buyer didn’t pay for about a week then I got a message that the buyer had marked the item as paid. On the “totals” tab in “my ebay”, it says that the payment is received but I don’t see any activity on my paypal account. I know I won’t get paid until the item is delivered as I am a new seller, but shouldn’t it still show up on my paypal account as pending or something?

The buyer can make an item as paid even if they haven’t paid. Never trust that. There will be some indication at PayPal if you have really been paid.
