I am the legal guardian of my 10 year old son in the state of ky. He has been getting ssi payments for a few years and I recently got married. When I reported my name change, the office said that I have to come in for a review because I got married. I work for a living.
Here is my question: My new husband owns 3 vehicles,he is currently Unemployed. Will this cause my son to lose his ssi benefits?
by the way, my child’s father is still living but I have sole custody.

why is the kid recieving SSi if the dad is alive? SSI is for the surviving child of the deseased parent. Or the kid may get disability if he is handicapped, and what u may get reduced is the child support ot public assistance.
PERSONAL question, why did u marry someone who cant even take care of you? he is unemployed..not a real smart move.
It is possible that it will, they count assessts so the cars will count towards that.
I think no,but Find out with a lawyer!!
