I posted an ad on Craigslist on the finance category that I need help searching for a lender like a credit union that can finance me with a personal loan. I have bad credit so I’m limited on a lot of stuff. Anyways, the results were most 100 percent of them are scam responses. People who are trying to get my information. Until one day I got an email from a lady saying she wants to help me with a loan simple as that. Shes here in the USA. There is no upfront fees, she asked me how can i trust you that I will pay it back and she also asked for my paypal email address so she can transfer the money in there. Thats pretty much it. She didn’t ask for any other information other than my paypal email address and how I will pay it back. Is there anyway anyone can scam me on this? Has it been done? I have heard of paypal scams through ebay,but what if someone wants to give me a loan?

Its a scam. NO ONE scours Craigslist looking for people to dump money onto becasue they just want to help. Also, NO ONE gives personal loans to people with bad credit…..no one, besides friends or family.
I think the best way to get a loan is from friends or family. If this person wants to give you a loan find out if you can try and meet them in person and/or first exchange cell phone numbers or some way of communication. Communication is key in this kind of situation.
But personally, I wouldn’t go to a stranger you just met. Find friends or family thats willing to help you.
to send you money she will have to send as gift I would be more inclined to think that she will spoof your email and scam others
