Questions About Etsy.com?

By pay online Posted in: payment

I’m 14 and my parents said it was totally okay if I could start selling my crafts on etsy.I have a list of questions and answer them as best as you can thanks!
What would be the best system of payment? I heard people used pay pal but I’m not sure…
What would be considered “reasonable” prices. I mean I see a lot of expensive crap on there and would my stuff sell well?
Would YOU reccomend etsy?

  1. Person with Question Says

regarding payment, pay pal is a smart, secure way to go.
check prices for comparable items. price it fairly for your raw goods and labor.
i would recommend etsy as a selling medium, but you shouldn’t rely on it exclusively. use other marketing to spread the word about your work, or you will probably get little to no traffic.
    hope you do well.

  2. Collin Says

Firstly what are you making ?
Pay Pal is properly the best method, it protects both parties.
If your hand making items, your missing a lucrative possibility, what ever it is you make, you might be able to take commissions, or use colours say for a football team, and use there out lets, you will properly only get 50% of the sales price, but that may be more than you might get otherwise, ask any local sports teams / shops Etc, you have nothing to lose in asking.
If you make jewellery, then you might be able to take commissions, using semi precious stones Etc, for unique gifts, these sell at a premium, so you might make more from a single commission than from 10 or even 20 otherwise.
If you can make a matched set, try an auction, you might get lucky.
    Hope this helps. CDR
