They contact you for estimate (parts and labor). You verify and give approval. They work on it. You wait then call to update. They say they are still working on it. You wait again. They’re working still. You get the idea. You stop calling. They send you the bill. You pay. They send the camera back to you. You check. Problem fixed, new one arises. Cycle restarts.
Nikon is very territorial about warranties and services. Next time, buy from a store near you. Make sure the service center is near your city too. If you can’t wait for them to deliver, you can at least drive there to make them hurry up.
