Throwing Away 8,000 Dollars For Friend?

okay im 21 years old and have a friend whom i have known for 2 years; we met at college and became good friends since. we live an hour away and have hung out pretty consistently since then.
after that freshman year of college, i left that school b/c i wanted to go out West (Colorado) for school.. and she wanted to stay for 4 years, but literally 2 weeks before her sophomore year began, her school calls her and tells her that they dropped her psychology major. she really loves psychology, so she dropped out as well and went to live at home.
i come from a wealthy family and she doesn’t so much at all. she pitches in a good amount for rent, full phone bill payments, gas, money for her dads shop, and worst of all, her mother forgot to pay a fee at the university, and now my friend owes 8,000 (thousand) dollars and they are withholding her transcripts until she pays it in FULL.
she has literally 22 dollars, and shes supposed to be a junior in college now. last year she only did one semester of community college and none so far this semester b/c of the 8,000 dollars.
she says she will go to school in the fall (a full YEAR from now).. but to be honest, i don’t think that will happen; she is constantly having to pay the monthly rent, phone bills, etc., that i don’t think she will even have the money by the fall.
i have 8,000 dollars and was thinking to just give it to her; i don’t pay any bills at all, and i got the money fairly quickly, and can quickly get it back.
she constantly works, has like 10 dogs/cats in her small, smelly house, and is never seeing the benefits of all this work b/c the money is constantly being used for many other things.. and on top of that, she still has to afford college once the 8 thousand gets paid off!
should i give her the money and get her going to school next semester instead of waiting a year?
