I will be receiving my new iPhone 4S in the mail. I am very excited to finally leave the prepaid crowd, but I need to know when is my first payment with Sprint due? Do I need to make my first month’s payment when activating my phone or after the first month of use?

Sprint will send you a bill in the mail after two weeks of your activation of your cell phone. Your first month bill is prorated meaning the bill is a bit higher depending on when you activated your cell phone billing cycle. Your monthly plan and any features like (texting) will be on the bill with the state taxes. You can pay your bill at any Sprint Store or you can mail in your payment.
When you are activating your phone there is no bill. You just pay for the cell phone up front. The Sprint bill will be mailed to you.
