My cousin just had a baby and the father wants nothing to do with it… I feel so bad for her! She isn’t handling her life well right now and asked me for help. The father says he is willing to pay child support every month, he just wants nothing to do with the “brat” ever. He says if he can just write it off with a check and pretend “the thing” doesn’t exist, he would be way better off. He already has three other children from two other mothers, and refuses to see them even tho he has visitation. The whole family is so sad that she got involved with this looser, but we need to know what forms we need to help her. So if anyone knows, or has been through this in CA, advice is welcome =)
We also tried to find the forms online, but had no success, and it is a long drive to the court house, which currently does not have a family law facilitator. Sooo frustrating!
Thanks for everyones support~
and, if anyone thinks that I am just using my “cousin” so people wont think it’s me, you are wrong, my baby isn’t born yet, and my fiance loves our little one very much => So thanks for your concern, but this really is my cousin =)

It doesn’t happen like that.
She needs to go get the child support order and full custody. It will be easy since the father will not contest it. They can put in whatever words they want about visitation, but he can’t be forced to visit.
Have her call your local child support bureau. They can walk her through all this.
