First off let me tell you..
I’m a teen mother myself, I’m 17 & i have an 11 month old baby boy. I love him to death, & now i couldn’t imagine my life w/o him. I did not intentionally try & get pregnant, like the teenage girls on here are talking about. I went to my mother when my boyfriend & i started having sex, and since I’m catholic she was against it, & would not put me on birth control. My boyfriend & i tried preventing having a baby, we used condoms, but they aren’t always 100% effective. But everything happens for a reason, & i wouldn’t trade my son for the world. Its HARD, I miss out on sooo much! High school life, friends, parties, & everything when my friends want to go out to the mall, most of the time i have to use my money to buy diapers, baby food etc. So i have to pass that up. I’m in my junior year of high school, I’ve been doing extra classes online so i can have enough credits to graduate this year. When I’m at school, my son is in daycare which I pay for! I work, when I’m at work my boyfriend has our son. I hardly ever get anytime to myself. A baby isn’t a toy, you can’t just send it back once you’re done playing with it. I wish i could have waited about 8 years, so i could give my son so much more. But I’m very fortunate, I do have family that helps out. My mom puts a roof over our head & feeds us. I didn’t choose this lifestyle, but i owned up to my responsibilities.
My question is based on my life & everything i said, why would a 13,14,15,16,17 year old want to live like that when they have everything at their finger tips right now?.
What Is Up With All These Young Girls Wanting Babies!?!?

I agree with you 100% I feel like these girls just want a baby because they’re cute, and they think having a baby will gain them kudos with other people. Honestly I blame 16 & Pregnant for making it look so awesome and easy being a young mom.
For sum its not on purpose I got pregnant at 17 because i was on antibiotics and they interfered with my birth control.
But for a lot of girls its baby fever they see one girl with a baby and suddenly they all want to have one.
They can’t really blame anyone but themselves.
By now most teenagers should know where babies come from and how to get one.
So if they go out, have sex and don’t bother to protect themselves.
It’s on them.
I don’t think they actually want to get pregnant as a teen, but with hormones and all, nature is telling them they want a baby. It’s just some sort of instinct back when we were… “cave people”.
Because they’re dumb and don’t realize how much time/money/effort it really takes to raise a child.
i love when little kids who have babies come on here and lecture to other kids why they shouldnt have babies… why couldnt you have taken your advice before. if your not old/mature enough to get on bc. you shouldnt be having sex. i personally dont think high school kids should be having sex at all
Teen Mom and living in an age of wealth and narcissism and entitlement. When they see Teen Mom, they don’t think “oh look at how hard it is, look at what she had to give up,” they think “oh look, she lives by herself, has a nice car, gets all these guys, has all this stuff, she’s famous, and all she had to do was have a kid. If I have a kid, that could happen to me.”
And then, some are just plain stupid.
did you ever think they are probably in your same situation? contraceptive failure and they became pregnant could be the cause not just because they wanted one intentionally? i mean reading this, its making you sound like a hypocrite and stupid because if you knew of this life and didnt want this to happen then you should have just listened to your mother and not do it in the first place. but like i said, most girls end up in the same situation. birth control failure, didnt know it happened, got pregnant, didnt want to abort or adopt, kept it and living in hell. or condom broke, couldnt get plan b, got pregnant, didnt want to abort or adopt, kept it and still living in hell. and most own up to their mistakes. some dont. but still…your situtation is basically the answer to your question
