So I want a new shooter for my ps3. Atm the only one I have is MW3 (which has gotten old). And I sold my older ones. I find that I have about 3 options. 3 games peak my interest. Battlefield 3, Goldeneye reloaded, and Uncharted 3.
Battlefield 3 PROS: A lot of my friends have it, the graphics are amazing, and I’ve played the beta and it was great. The multiplayer is amazing so I’d be playing it for a while. IGN Rating is 9.0.
Battlefield 3 CONS: it’s pretty expensive since you need to buy an online pass for $10.00 if it’s pre-owned. So I might as well just pay the full price of $60.00 for a new one. But then I’d have to get that new DLC that’s out which is 15.00. I’m on a budget so I’d rather not spend 75.00.
Uncharted 3 PROS: Great looking game, awesome story, a lot of multiplayer game types and such. It’s more of an adventure game so I’d be buying an action/adventure/shooter. IGN rating: 10
Uncharted 3 CONS: I’ve only played the 2nd uncharted once. So story wise I don’t know if I can tag along very well. It’s not an FPS which is what I’m looking at in terms of shooting right now. It’s more like the gameplay type of Grand theft auto or saints row if you’ve ever played those.
Goldeneye Reloaded PROS: I’ve played the first remake on the wii and loved it. Very nostalgic. My brother also liked it (Who’s not really into shooters). It’s cheap. Only about 45 bucks for a pre-owned copy. All around it’s a game I could and have gotten into in the past. IGN Rating: 8.5
Goldeneye Reloaded CONS: I hear it’s online isn’t that great since there are many overpowered guns. There is quite a wait to get an online match. The graphics are better than the wii of course, but not that impressive. And I don’t know how long I can actually stay interested in this game since I’ve played the wii and n64 version, and it probably won’t be getting a good sell price.
So that’s what I’m going for. If you have any other game suggestions tell me those too, but I’m mainly looking for some new shooters with an online feature.

Well im very inpressed with your reserch and i think that you may be leaning towards battle feild from the reading and goldeneagle has a bad multiplayer ( as you said) and uncharted is a 3rd person not a 1st like you said and honestly i still play mw2 because the mulitiplayer can last for a long time so i think you should go the extra mile and get battlefeild
Battlefield has the best multiplayer of any FPS I’ve ever played.
i’d say uncharted cause its multiplayer is awesome so if u dont understand the story ur set anyway.
Check out Skyrim- it’s an action RPG but it’s in first-person and feels like a shooter.
Gears of war. Oh wait, PS3 doesn’t have that. lolz.
I would go with uncharted 3 even though it may be a 3rd person shooter it has amazing multiplayer and is a blast. I think if you want battlefield 3 wait for a couple months to pass then get it.
Bf3 it is amazing if you are always playing with friends and can get really competitive I think there might still be new limited editions that give the pass and dlc but not sure and most new come with the online code
Well… I’ve played the demo of uncharted 1 & 2, I’ve seen the trailer of 3 and I think that uncharted 3 is the best for adventure and action! Battle field 3 is good for suspense and, well other things you would expect from a first person shooter game… but in my opinion, I would get uncharted 3!! And as for golden eye reloaded, I’ve never actually heard of it, but I think that games that don’t realy stick to your head, are kinda boring…
Uncharted or Battlefield 3 you can’t go wrong with decent amount of people play them so you should have no problem finding a game and might I suggest some other games to you like
Killzone 3- good graphics fun campaign story isn’t great but it has awesome multiplayer and shooting feels so powerful also the multiplayer is class based but telling you it is really fun
Resistance 3- Unique weapons, Good story, Pretty good graphics not the best, Fun Multiplayer though its not the 30v30 like Resistance 2 was its only 8v8
