Sold an item fro $41. on ebay and charged 10 shipping. I saw the 41 on my paypal acct but not the 10. Who gets the 10? Me or ebay or paypal? It is not spelled out anywhere, of course.

Did you actually enter the shipping into the correct space when you listed or did you just say in the listing that it would be $10? If you didn’t do it properly or place it in the invoice through PayPal then you didn’t get it.
If you charge $35 for an item, and $5 for shipping, you will get $40 for the item, since you’ll be spending $5 on shipping. They pay you shipping to make up for your loss.
Then, eBay also charges a commission fee.
