So, I was looking for an apartment, this guy in real estate really helped me out. Took me there, showed me really good ones and was very helpful. When we came back to sign the papers I had to go to another guy for paperwork. I paid an amount almost like one month payment to the real estate. But they guy who showed me the apartment looked upset. Did I have to pay him separately? And if yes, how much?

The guy who showed you the apt most likely will get paid a commission or a finders fee for getting the apt. rented. Best Wishes on you new apt.
If he wasn’t licensed, he should not be paid, unless he worked exclusively for the owner.
If this agent put together a deal, the landlord should be giving him a finders fee, not you.
