Why Should I Pay Alimony And Half My Retirement?

Alimony is the by far the most unfair thing that was ever thought of. Let me get this stright i have to pay my EX wife half of my retirement once i retire in about 10yrs. Me and my wife where married for 11yrs all of which i was in the military. Now i have to give up half my retierment to her this is some bullshit. I also have to pay child support and 3yrs of alimony to this women. please sombody tell me how is this fair at all. I was the one who deployed to iraq/afg. I was the one who put in long hours for the military and worked my *** off. I even paid for my EX to go to school and get a nursing degree. Now i have 2 payments to make to this women and in about 10 or so years i have to give up half my retirement. So even if she get’s re-married i will still have to pay her this is just down right dirty. Why do i have to pay her all this money. In what way does the courts see this as fair. Why is it that 94% of all alimony payments are paid out by men. Why are the courts so bias. I just went on a rant in a previous post as to why i have to pay her child support when she do not even use it for my son. This is some bullshit. Now i know the women are going to be like “we are the ones at home taking care of the kids and have no chance to futher our careers blah.blahblah…” I got that and i would have been cool with the child support and maybe a year of alimony..but not 3 and deffintly not half of my retirement. I already sent her through school does that count for anything….Sorry for the rant just a all around bad day for me…this winch do not even have to work for the next 3 years as i will still be supporting her as well as my kid and me….WUUUSAAAA

    Oh, boo-hoo, let’s all have a cry together. When you were in the military, your wife was at home keeping things together for the family, raising your kids on her own. If she had chosen to pursue her own career, you would have had to pay a nanny and a housekeeper for the things your wife did for free. As for the child support, you kids need to eat. Simple as that.

    Let’s just say its your payment to her after years of service to you. Giving you a child. Giving her youth to you. That’s why divorce is never nice. You have not mention why you divorce, I feel you did not mention it because you are at fault. Is there a third party? You should have think thinks over before she filed for divorce. Obviously again you are not the one who filed it because you don’t want to spend. If she is the one who committed adultery or something bad, maybe you could tell the court not to give her that much alimony. Its better to spend on your wife who took care of you than on the next girl who won’t probably take care of you when you get sick. And maybe give some on your child who might probably think of taking care of you when you grow old.
