Would It Be Fair To Ask For This For My Birthday?

i’m and i have about half the year until i turn 16 and havent (but will soon) start drivers ed. and i kind of want a car for my birthday. I would pay for some of it. not sure how much cause i dont have a speific kind in mind, but something used and hopefully less if not much much less under 10,000. also my sister got a car when she turned 17, and my parents payed about 10,000-11,000 on it. oh and i plan to have a job then so if asking for that would be to much, would it be fair when i got my job to make payments to them. oh also i would pay for gas…. also how should i wait to bring this up until i’m actually, cause according to the schools website it take 1-2 months to finish, and my birthday is in about 5 months. and how should i convince them to do this? i’m a very cautious person, and i keep my word.

    Tell you’re parents your plan about money and gas and ask them sweetly. Since this is you’re sweet 16 it be nice to get a car. My parents believe I should drive when I’m 18. Even then I have to use a not cool car. So start off with something cheap, since you might get into accidents.

    well i am 33 and love to get a drivers licence, i think i am the only adult in my family that cannot drive.
    so what kind of car are you looking at, my mum has had 6 so far, i named it skippy because near the end it jumped all over the place
    i suppose if your family won the lottery you would be set regardless, but with the fuel prices now i am glad i dont drive, my bus pass is my best friend right now
